This isn’t a rigid beginner method. Some lessons cover essential fundamentals, while others move into triads, modes, improvisation, soloing and deeper fretboard understanding.

Choose the paperback if you want a standard printed copy, the spiral edition if you want the book to lie flat while you practise, or the digital edition if you want instant access and the ability to print individual pages.
Yes, particularly if you’ve already started playing and want to understand how the guitar works. Some lessons cover essential fundamentals, while others move into triads, modes, improvisation, soloing and deeper fretboard understanding. It is not a rigid start-from-zero beginner method.
No. The theory is taught from a guitarist’s point of view and connected directly to the fretboard and your playing. The aim is to help you understand why chords, scales and patterns work, not bury you in abstract theory.
Yes. Fretboard navigation is one of the main themes of the book, including note locations, patterns, intervals and ways of seeing how different areas of the neck connect.
Yes. The lessons link to corresponding video tutorials so you can read the explanation, study the diagrams and then see the lesson demonstrated.
The links are printed inside the book and there is also a private members area that organises all the lessons in one place.
Yes. The digital edition can be downloaded and you can print individual pages for your own use.
You do not have to work through them rigidly from beginning to end. The lessons are loosely organised and interconnected, so you can focus on the subjects that are most useful to you and return to others as your playing develops.
There are 3 ways:
1. Printed links inside the book
Every lesson includes a printed link to the matching video on the bottom of each page. The lessons are embedded here on my website so YouTube ads are blocked.
2. Organised course area
Book owners also get access to a structured members area in the "Fretboard Fraternity" where the lessons are organised into groups of 10. Again these have no ads.
3. YouTube channel
All of the lessons are also available on my YouTube channel but they can be tricky to find without the book.
After years of publishing guitar lessons online, I wanted to bring the most useful ones together into one practical reference. Instead of hunting through hundreds of videos, you can keep the diagrams, explanations and lessons in one place and return to them whenever you need them.
